Aged Care Residents at Harbison and local students participate in art, maths, science, music, writing, and storytelling activities to name a few. The playgroup sessions operate three times a week. It’s an opportunity for residents at Harbison to engage with younger children, typically aged 0-5 years old.
Together, they and their families help to break the social isolation often felt by both groups. It's also a way to connect with the broader community and have fun with activities such as music and movement, puzzles, games, art/craft and a shared morning tea.
The programme is partially funded by a grant from The Southern Highlands Community Foundation.
