The organisation employs a mental health registered nurse with aims to address psychiatric issues and provide better support for health promotion, alcohol and other drug use, smoking and counselling programs.
Tullawon Health Service Inc. is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation. It provides primary health care and chronic disease management to the local Aboriginal community of Yalata, South Australia. The health service provides a wide range of holistic health and well-being services, including; Primary Health Care, Child & Maternal Health, Social Emotional Wellbeing, Alcohol and other Drugs Services, Aged Care, Disability services and more.
The Clinic gains visiting General Practitioner, Allied Health and Specialist services from the Royal Flying Doctors Services and the KHWA Alliance. A 24/7 Emergency Response service is also provided to the residents of Yalata.
Tullawon’s Day Centre provides an 8.30am-5pm day service for all Aged and Disabled clients in Yalata and transients from other communities. This day care program supports the social, emotional and physical needs of its aged and disabled clients. Assistance with showering, washing clothes, meals and social outings are provided.
