Northern Territory Emergency Service

The Northern Territory Emergency Service (NTES) is responsible for Emergency Management planning, raising public awareness of potential disasters, and responding to emergencies through dedicated volunteers. 

NTES is a part of the NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services, however as the service is mostly volunteer-based it is also affiliated with the Australia-wide State Emergency Service (SES). NTES volunteers come from all walks of life, bringing with them many different skills, interests, and backgrounds. They are united by the purpose of supporting their community in times of need.
