Ministerial Advisory Council on Ageing

The Ministerial Advisory Council on Ageing (MACA) provides advice to ACT Government on policies and initiatives which support better outcomes for older Canberrans.

MACA has two priorities:

  1. support the delivery of relevant existing Age-Friendly City Plan actions

  2. progress initiatives that reflect the broader priorities of the Council as they relate to the priority focus areas.

The MACA has the goals to promote positive ageing and tackling ageism and discrimination in the community, policy making and social systems, and to assist Canberra’s older population in the ACT’s COVID-19 recovery.
