Department of Families, Fairness, and Housing
We’re responsible for child protection, prevention of family violence, housing, disability, multicultural affairs, LGBTIQ+ equality, veterans, and the offices for Women and Youth.
Our Family Violence prevention and response services and programmes help create safe and caring communities for Victorian children and families. We strive to create a place where all young people are healthy, safe, and empowered.
We support all Victorians to have access to a safe, secure, and affordable house.
We want to advance gender equality and improve women’s safety, and we’re working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, intersex and queer communities.
We provide programmes, initiative, and funding to support:

senior Victorians' health and wellbeing
the ex-service community and service organisations
community participation
