Deaf Connect is the largest whole-of-life service provider for Deaf, Deafblind and hard of hearing Australians, with offices across Queensland and New South Wales, as well in Adelaide, Melbourne and Darwin.

We stand with the Deaf community to build capacity and influence social change while paying respect to history, culture and language.

Our focus is on community and empowerment, supporting Deaf Australians and their families to make choices and actions to thrive in life, while delivering on a national agenda to improve equity for the Deaf community, and to remove systemic cultural and language barriers.

Our services:

  • Ageing well – Ageing Well is our aged care service.  Ageing Well is an approved provider of home care,  offering aged care services and support for deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing people over 65 who communicate in Auslan or other signed languages in their own home.

  • Auslan Translations – Our Auslan Translations Service works with a range of government and non-government organisations to create high-quality, technically appropriate video content accessible to Auslan users, translated from written or spoken English.

  • Education – Our team of experienced teachers deliver a range of courses from community classes, to accredited training, courses for Deaf and hard of hearing people, Deaf Awareness Training and Family classes for people who want to learn Auslan for their Deaf or hard of hearing children.

  • Information Services – Information Services coordinates connections between the Deaf community and the services and supports that empower them to live life the way they choose.

  • Interpreting – Our experienced bookings team will work with you to find the best interpreters for you.

  • 1:1 Support – 1:1 Support works with members of the Deaf and hard of hearing communities whose primary language is Auslan to achieve their full potential and live the life they choose.

  • Family and Therapy Support – Our early intervention, therapy, support and mentorship programs are tailored to the individual experience of each family. Our team provide a range of services to Deaf and hard of hearing children and adults.
