In 2022, the SA Office of the Public Advocate undertook the Living My Life project, and created five videos to provide organisations, services, and professionals access to resources to help them engage with people with impaired decision-making capacity, who use their services.
More recently, a sixth video was developed as part of the Culturally Safe Supported Decision-Making project to help people understand cultural considerations when supporting First Nations people to document their will and preferences.
The SA Office of the Public Advocate has been championing the expansion of supported decision-making principles into guardianship practice (where practicable) for many years.
