This is the report summary of The Aged Care Worker Survey 2024, which was conducted between 18 March to 30 April 2024.

It aimed to understand more about working in aged care including training and qualifications, workforce satisfaction, drivers for working in aged care and intentions to stay in the sector.

It also explores workers obligations and duty of care, and the kind of training they receive. Only 53% received training about elder abuse, 56% in dementia care, 48% about falls, and just over 22% about how to respond to clinical deterioration of an older person in aged care.
