There are over 14,000 Aboriginal carers providing unpaid assistance and support to family members and friends in NSW. Culturally specific services and support for Aboriginal carers are available from Carers NSW and other service providers.

This plan aims to assist providers in identifying actions they could take to deliver more inclusive and culturally appropriate services for consumers. It acknowledges that there is no 'one-size-fits-all’ approach to diversity, and that each provider will be starting from a different place and operating in a different context.

They highlight common struggles and resolutions in regards to receiving aged care.

This brochure explains that Elder Abuse is largely hidden and underreported, so it’s important that we all get involved and raise awareness of elder abuse to help prevent it from happening.
