OPAN’s National Older Persons Reference Group was established in 2020 to hear directly from older people about the issues that affect them and to facilitate their active participation in aged care reform.
‘I have no superpower,’ Robin says, ‘but over the years, I have learned that honesty, tenacity, resilience, communication, and respect for the power of the community are essential tools in advocating for one's beliefs.’
The reference group currently consists of 34 members, aged between 50 and 95, with a range of professional and lived experience related to aged care services.
