With 5.5 million Australians living with disability and an ageing population requiring support, Uber Caregiver seeks to alleviate the logistical, financial, and mental strain on caregivers, by helping to manage transportation more easily
Uber allows people who are being cared for to add their Carers directly to the Uber app so they can book rides on behalf of those they assist.
The feature also enables Carers to track ride progress and includes a new three-way in-app chat function.
Rides can be booked on-demand or scheduled up to 90 days in advance, offering carers flexibility and control over transportation planning.
