The MoS guides how mental health care is delivered to older people in Western Australia. It's important the care is appropriate, safe, respectful, and inclusive for everyone.

That's why we're asking people to complete the survey at the link below.

In particular we'd like to hear from:

  • people within WA who are LGBTIQA+, have experienced mental illness, and are 65 years and over (55 years and over for Aboriginal people)

  • LGBTIQA+ communities and organisations who support older adults with mental illness

  • LGBTIQA+ carers and families who support older LGBTIQA+ adults with a mental illness

  • health professionals, aged care, and community service organisations providing care to LGBTIQA+ older adults with mental illness

Consultation involves answering 8 questions and is available in English, Chinese, Indian, Filipino, Italian, Vietnamese, Arabic, Afrikaans, Spanish, Indonesian and French languages.

If you require support, please email: oamh.mosregistration@health.wa.gov.au

Thank you for helping shape how care for older LGBTIQA+ people with mental illness will be provided in WA.

The consultation will close 30th of January 2025.
