Graphic for tetanus vaccinations

Are you up to date with your tetanus vaccinations?

Tetanus, a serious infection, causes painful muscle spasms. Mainly found in soil and dust, it enters through wounds. While vaccination is a prevention, immunity wanes over time.

To stay safe, consider a tetanus-containing booster (like dTpa) at 50 and 65 years if more than 10 years have passed since your last dose. The vaccine is not funded by the National Immunisation Program but is available with a private script. Talk to your GP or pharmacist about tetanus vaccinations if you think you may need a booster.
